Day One

Meet and greet at Entebbe International Airport by a Guide who will warmly welcome you and facilitate seamless arrival formalities.  After a short transfer to your hotel (45min – 1 hour drive) you will be briefed about you safari. Day Two

Early morning begin the panoramic drive to Murchison Falls National park via the  Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.  Drive  to  Masindi Town for lunch and later drive  to Murchison Falls National Park. Time  allowing visit the top of the falls.  Overnight at either Paraa Safari Lodge for up market  accommodation, Sambiya River Lodge for medium range accommodation, or Red Chili Rest Camp for Low budget accommodation. Day Three

Early morning game drive on the northern bank of the River Nile.  Your guide will help you spot elephant, lion, cape buffalo, Roth child’s giraffe, hartebeest, waterbuck, oribi, bushbuck, bohor reed buck, hyena and if you are lucky, the leopard.  After lunch, go for a boat safari upstream the calm Victoria Nile to the base of the falls stopping just few of meters from the ‘Devil’s Cauldron’, marvel at the toothsome hippos, home of  crocodiles and over the 17km stretch you may see elephant, waterbuck and Uganda Kob. This is also the zone of many birds, species like goliath heron, Egyptian goose, pelican bee-eater, kingfisher, hornbill, cormorant and the rare shoebill stork.  After taking shorts of the photogenic Murchison Falls, return to your Lodge. Overnight at either Paraa Safari Lodge for up market accommodation, Sambiya River Lodge  for medium range accommodation, or Red Chili Rest Camp for Low budget accommodation. FB

Day Four

After your morning breakfast drive south via Hoima to Fort Portal through verdant countryside and pass traditional homesteads and farms. Fort Portal rests in the shadow of the fabled Mountains of the Moon.  The drive takes approximately 8 hours. Overnight at either Primate Lodge for up market accommodation, or Mountains of the Moon Hotel for mid range accommodation or Rwenzori View Guest House for Low budget accommodation. Day Five

After breakfast we visit Kibale Forest National Park, which is reputed to have the greatest variety and highest concentration of primates in East Africa. The most famous of its 13 species is the Chimpanzee, our closest relative. Kibale 1450 Chimpanzee represent Uganda’s largest population of this endangered primate. Kibale is also a home to the rare I’Hoest’s monkey. Other primates include the black and white Colobus, Blue monkey, Grey cheeked mangabey, Red tailed monkey, Olive baboon to mention but a few. So you will enjoy a guided nature walk in the tropical rainforest in search of the wild chimpanzees, red-tailed monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys and many others. After lunch go for Bigodi swamp walk. Overnight at either  Primate Lodge for up market accommodation, or  Mountains of the Moon Hotel for mid range accommodation or Rwenzori View Guest House for Low budget accommodation. FB

Day Six

After your morning breakfast, you will proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park following the mystical Rwenzori Mountain Range. As you go through the game park you might spot some animals. After lunch enjoy the unique 2-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel into Lake Edward. This trip passes through possibly the highest concentration of hippos.  This launch/cruise offers and excellent platform for photography, bird watching and game viewing.  The prolific bird life is colorful and stupendous, with well over 550 resident species. Overnight at either Kyambura Lodge for up market accommodation, or Ihamba Lodge for medium range or Albertine Rift Safari Camps for Low budget accommodation. Day Seven

Queen Elizabeth National Park¹s diverse eco-system of grassy plains, tropical forest, rivers, swamps, lakes and volcanic craters is home to an incredible abundance of wildlife.  Have an early morning Game drive where you have an opportunity to view the massive Rwenzori as backdrop, which provides excellent opportunities to see lion, leopard, giant forest hog, Cape buffalo, elephant, defassa waterbuck, Uganda Kob, topi and bushbuck. Later transfer to Ishasha sector where you will go for  another game drive in the evening in search of tree climbing lions. Over night at either Ishasha Wilderness Camp  for up market accommodation or Savannah Resort Hotel   for medium range accommodation. Day Eight

Drive through the Switzerland of Africa area known as the Kigezi Highlands with its terraced hillside and winding roads to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.  Overnight at Gorilla Safari Lodge for up market accommodation, or Kisoro Travelers Hotel for Mid range accommodation. FB

Day Nine

Early morning entry into the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest the rainforest is spectacular, It offers a dramatic, steeply forested landscape and is incredibly dense, but crisscrossed by numerous animal¹s trails allowing access to tourists.   Mammals recorded include the endangered Mt Gorilla, rare golden monkey, buffalo, elephant, black-fronted duiker, bushbuck, leopard, giant forest hog and others.  This park is best known for the fascinating gorillas. The thrill of spending time and observing the gorillas is a rare moving, awesome and exciting adventure. There is always a ranger guide to interpret the Fauna and the Flora. The gorilla is a shy and peaceful animal and it is an unforgettable experience to watch and photograph them as they interact the others that are not going Gorilla tracking will have community walk to observe traditional. Day Ten

Day Eleven

After breakfast transfer to Lake Mburo National Park, have a game drive as you enter the park. After lunch go for an evening boat cruise on L. Mburo and get quite close to the croc and hipposOver night at either Mihingo lodge for up market accommodation , or  Mburo Safari Lodge for medium range accommodation or UWA Bandas for Low budget accommodation. Day Twelve

After breakfast, Leisurely drive back to Kampala, have a stop over at the Equator where you will have an opportunity to stand in 2 hemispheres at the same time and take some photos, then another stop over at the Mpigi Royal Drum Makers where you will be able to watch the ceremonial drums being crafted using methods passed down through the generations arriving in the afternoon. Day Thirteen

Depending on the departure time you may go for the following excursions on payment of a supplement: Half day white water Rafting on River Nile, half day trip to Ngamba Island in L. Victoria to see the orphaned chimpanzees or city tour. Transfer to the airport according to your flight time.

Day One

Day Two

After an early morning breakfast, you will depart Kampala for Fort Portal arriving in time for lunch .In the afternoon relax at your hotel or visit the crater lakes area. Overnight at either  Primate Lodge for up  market accommodation, or  Mountains of the Moon Hotel for mid range accommodation or Rwenzori View Guest House for Low budget accommodation. FB

Day Three

After Breakfast go for chimpanzee tracking.  You will also see and other primates including L’Hoest, red colobus, and blue red tailed and gray cheeked mangabey.  Enjoy the services of our ranger guide who will give you detailed information on primates, forest, flora and fauna. Later in the afternoon, you will have the opportunity of a guided walk through Bigodi Swamp. Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary is managed by the Kibale Association for Rural and Environmental organization formed in 1992 with the aim of achieving social and economic development for local communities. This swamp is a home to approximately 137 bird species and it is also rich in vegetation, such as wild palms, polita figs and the dominant papyrus.  There are a net-work of forest trails that radiate out from the visitor centre, allowing you to search for a number of species that shun the vicinity of the main road. Day Four

On this day after your morning breakfast you will proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park following the mystical Rwenzori Mountain range for most of the journey.  A game drive en-route may be rewarded by seeing a lot of wild animals such as elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, hyena and variety of antelope species.  After lunch, enjoy the unique 2-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel which joins Lake Edward and Lake George.  You will see a lot of hippos and other animals may be seen drinking at water’s edge.  During this launch cruise you will have opportunity to take photographs, game viewing and bird watching with over 550 resident species of colorful birds for you to enjoy. Day Five

Today we have an early morning game drive.  Queen Elizabeth National Park is a home of abundant wildlife with grassy plains, and volcanic craters.  You will have an excellent opportunity to see lion, leopard, giant forest hog, Cape buffalo, elephants, defassa waterbuck, Uganda kob, topi and bushbuck. Later transfer to Ishasha sector where you will go for yet another game drive in the evening in search of tree climbing lions. Another full day in Meru National Park game viewing, all meals and overnight at the CAMPSITE

Day Three – SAMBURU G. RESERVE

Breakfast and depart for Samburu arriving at the campsite for game viewing, a chance to see lions, elephants, gerenuk, grevy’s zebra, onyx, the reticulated giraffe and other plains game. Dinner and overnight at the EWASO NYIRO CAMPSITE. [2 hrs]

Day Four – SAMBURU G. RESERVE

Early morning game drive, return to the campsite for breakfast, another morning game drive, return to the campsite for lunch. [An optional visit to a Samburu Village – extra cost] followed by an evening game drive, dinner and overnight at the EWASO NYIRO CAMPSITE.

Day Five – MOUNT KENYA

Breakfast and break up the camp – depart Samburu with a game drive on the way out of the park, lunch at the Bantu campsite and there after proceed on for a nature walk to the Mau Mau Caves located deep inside Mount Kenya forest. Return to the campsite for dinner & overnight at the Bantu campsite. [drive takes 3 hours].

Day Six – LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK

Depart after breakfast past the northern tip of the Aberdare Mountains to descend into the Great Rift Valley where Lake Nakuru is located. [Picnic lunch en route]. Time permitting proceeds on for an evening game drive, dinner and overnight at a guesthouse or at the MAKALIA FALL’S CAMPSITE located inside the park. [4 Hrs]

Day Seven – LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK

Another full day in Nakuru with morning and afternoon game drive, all meals & overnight at MAKALIA FALL’S CAMPSITE

Day Eight – MASAI MARA

Breakfast & depart for Masai Mara with picnic lunch en route – On arrival you will proceed on for an evening game drive, dinner & overnight at a campsite located near SEKENANI GATE. [5 hrs]

Early morning game drives, return for breakfast and proceed on for another morning game drive, lunch and an afternoon game drive, dinner and overnight at the campsite.

Day Three – AMBOSELI – NAIROBI – MOUNT KENYA

Depart Amboseli for Mount Kenya Mt. Kenya past the coffee plantations. Picnic lunch en route. Time permitting, a nature walk into Mount Kenya Forest – Mau Mau Caves, dinner and overnight at the Bantu Lodge campsite.

Day Four – MOUNT KENYA-SAMBURU

Breakfast and depart for Samburu Game Reserve, lunch at the campsite followed by an afternoon game drive in search for lions, elephants, gerenuk, grevy’s zebra, onyx, the reticulated giraffe and other plains game. Dinner and overnight at the campsite.

10 Days Amboseli

Day One – NAIROBI – SAMBURU :

Depart Nairobi in the morning passing through the rich agricultural farmland on the slopes of Mt. Kenya to the mainly dry scrubland and open Savannah plains of Samburu Game Reserve. Here the Ewaso Nyiro River supports a wide variety of games among them elephants buffalo cheetah leopard, lion grevy’s zebra reticulated giraffe, long necked gerenuk
and the Oryx. Set up tents dinner and overnight at the campsite. [Picnic lunch en route].

Day Two – SAMBURU GAME RESERVE :

Morning and afternoon game drives all meals at the campsite.

Day Three – SAMBURU – LAKE BARINGO :

Leaving Samburu in the early morning, we make a scenic drive to the west across the Lerochi Plateau, [lunch en route] and later descend to the floor of the Great Rift Valley, arriving at Lake Baringo in the afternoon. This is a fresh water lake, which supports a great variety of birds as well as hippos and crocodiles. Indeed the lake is reputed to be the bird-watching center of Kenya.

Day Four – LAKE BARINGO -LAKE NAKURU :

Early in the morning we head south via Lake Bogoria, which is a shallow soda Lake with a beautiful scenery and also home to a sizable number of flamingos and other species of birds. The highlight however is the boiling hot springs and geyser, which also contributes to the beauty of the lake. After lunch we proceed to Lake. Nakuru in the South – another shallow soda lake that is described as an ornithologist paradise and one of the world’s most magnificent sights.
Here one has an opportunity to see up to two million flamingos besides tens of thousands of others birds if lucky. Lake. Nakuru is a rhino sanctuary and also harbors lions, warthog, waterbuck, buffalo, hippo and many other animals. Dinner and overnight in a guesthouse inside the park

Day Five – LAKE NAKURU – MARA :

We head further south to Narok, camping in our semi-permanent campsite on the Sekenani gate, which is at the edge of the park. Here we have walk-in tents with beds & mattresses. Showers are available in the camp and meals are served in the dinning mess.

Day Six & Seven – MASAI MARA :

From the base camp we explore the Mara region packed with the elephants, zebras, rhinos and all kinds of game throughout the year with the spectacular wildebeest migration from Serengeti occurring mainly in July and August. All meals at the campsite.

Day Eight – MASAI MARA – NAIROBI :

Early breakfast and proceed on a morning game drive. There after proceed to Narok where Masai souvenirs can be brought and then proceed to Nairobi. [Picnic lunch en route]

 

8 Days Samburu

Day One – NAIROBI –MOUNT KENYA

08H00. Pick up from hotel for a safari to Mount Kenya. Picnic lunch en route, time permitting, an afternoon nature walk to the Mau Mau Caves located in the Mount Kenya forest. Dinner and overnight at the Bantu Lodge campsite. The drive takes 3 hours.

Day Two – MOUNT KENYA – SAMBURU G. RESERVE

Depart Mount Kenya for Samburu via the scenic surroundings with Picnic lunch en route. On arrival proceed on for an evening game drive . Dinner and overnight at the campsite. [2 hrs]

Day Three – SAMBURU G. RESERVE

Early morning game drives, return to the campsite for breakfast, after breakfast another game drive, return for lunch at the campsite, siesta at the campsite followed by an evening game drive, dinner and overnight at the campsite.

Day Four – SAMBURU G. RESERVE – LAKE NAKURU
