Seronera Wildlife Lodge is artfully constructed around a rocky outcrop from glass and wood elements, perfectly blending into its surrounding; next to the lodge, several waterholes attract, day and night, the most amazing animals, providing a unique opportunity for a close encounter with the Big Five.
Serengeti Sopa Lodge
69 standard rooms, all with 2 queen size beds, carpeted, and tastefully furnished with local fabrics and pictures. One entering the room is a lounge with a mini bar. In the front is a verandah with 2 comfortable chairs and coffee table, with glass windows facing the vast Serengeti plains which extend as far as the naked eye can see.
Kirawira Luxury Tented Camp
The camp has just 25 widely-spaced luxury tents, raised on timber platforms, each with a glorious view of the plains. Each tent has a spacious furnished deck leading to a bedroom furnished in antique Edwardian style with steamer-trunks, writing desk, brass lamps, rugs, sepia photographs and four-poster bed with patchwork quilt. Each tent has its own personal valet.
Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge
A series of traditional domed ‘rondavels’ are widely spaced throughout the grounds, which are cooled by groves of acacia trees and watered by sparkling streams. On the very edge of the ridge is a ‘vanishing horizon’ pool, which looks out over the ‘endless plains’ after which the Serengeti is named.
Grumeti River Camp
Every year in June and July, Africa’s annual Great Migration passes through Grumeti, and hundreds upon thousands of wildebeest, zebra and other herbivores bravely cross the Grumeti River, risking the jaws of some of Africa’s largest crocodiles. While these massive beasts are among some of Africa’s largest, in October visitors can watch their tiny hatchlings emerge.
Kleins Camp
Klein’s Camp, Serengeti is supremely set within both the gentle and ruggedness of the African wild. This 10 cottage camp perfectly reflects this natural sanctuary, mirroring its soft rolling hills with gentle luxurious comforts, as well as it hard and rugged landscape with starkly rich fireplaces and furnishings.
