10 Days Gorilla
Day One
After your breakfast you will set off for Kibale Forest National Park arriving in the afternoon. This heavily secluded rainforest park is a known habitat for the largest number of varying species of primates on the African continent. You will enjoy a fascinating chimpanzee tracking in the Park throughout the whole afternoon observing how they respond to humans, look after their young ones, and feed. Day Two
Today, as part of the Chimp tracking, you will join the training team that studies the behavior of these primates with an aim of making them get acquitted to humans( extra $220 per person).. You will have a hearty lunch back at the Lodge. Enjoy an evening guided trek through Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary which is habitat to over 350 different species of birds with a very rich vegetation of papyrus, wild palms and Polita figs. The park is controlled by the Kibale Association for Rural and Environment Organization that was started in 1992 with a motive of realizing economic and social development for the local people.Over night at Mountains of the Moon for mid range accommodation or Rwenzori View Guest House for Low Budget accommodation. Day Three
After breakfast, you will depart Kibale and then head for Queen Elizabeth National Park having a game drive while entering the park arriving in the afternoon. Relax around the pool after lunch and later go for an early evening game drive. Its little wonder that Queen Elizabeth boast one of the highest biodiversity ratings of any game park or reserve in the world, – from the open Savannah to Rain Forest, dense Papyrus Swamps and brooding Crater lakes to the vastness of Lake Edward.
Almost 100 mammal species that include Lions, Hippos, Buffaloes, Leopard, Spotted Hyena, Elephants and the elusive Giant Forest Hog plus remarkable 606 bird species that include the Black Chested Eagle, the Swallow Tailed Bee Eaters, to mention but a few.
The Primates include Chimps, Black and White Colobus Monkeys, Blue, Black Faced Red Colobus, and Red Tailed monkeys and Olive Baboons. Reptiles are the amazing huge Rock-Python, Puff adders, Spitting Cobras, Gabon Rippers, Green Mambas, and Turtles etc. All these are regularly sighted around the tourist village on the Mweya Peninsula and all this makes a superb safari territory. Following breakfast, set off for a sight filled journey seeing various kinds of wildlife and finally arrive in Queen Elizabeth National Park in the afternoon. Rest and have lunch by the pool side before embarking on an evening game drive. Queen Elizabeth National Park also prides in its varying landscapes ranging from the open Savannah, Rain Forests, the impenetrable Papyrus Swamps, with crater later lakes and most of all the magnificent Lake Edward.
Among the inhabitant of the Park are:
-Primates which include Chimpanzees, Olive Baboons, Grey Cheeked Mangabey, Red Tailed monkey, Red Colobus and the Black and white Colobus monkeys;
-Various animal species like lions, elephants, leopards, spotted hyenas and hippopotami;
-More than 300 species of birds such as Black Chested Eagle, the Swallow Tailed Bee Eaters,
-Reptiles such as amazing huge Rock-Python, Puff adders, Spitting Cobras, Gabon Rippers and the Green Mambas. And all these are often seen around the Mweya cape which is the “tourist village”.

Day Four
Early morning Chimp tracking in Kyambura gorge. In the afternoon you will go for a boat tour on the Kazinga Channel were you will see buffalos dallying in the shallow waters, hippos puff and spew just meters away from your boat and so many beautiful birds on the shores. Also the Open-Billed Stork, Long-Tailed Cormorants, Pied Kingfishers, Malachite and the African Jacana are also seen now and again.Over night at Bush lodge mid range accommodation or Institute of Ecology for Low budget accommodation. Day Five
After breakfast, you will enjoy a game drive as you head to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park which is a popularly know sanctuary for Mountain Gorillas and various bird species that graze in Mountane Forest. It also has 23 of the 24 Albertine Rift endemics including the African Green Broadbill, Bar Tailed Trogon and other beautiful forest species.
There will be an optional nature trek to the Munyaga waterfalls were you will spot various primates linger by the falls. Over night at Gorilla Safari Lodge for mid range accommodation or at the Camp site in Bwindi. FB
Day Six
Earlier than usual you will set off for an exciting 2+- 6 hours Mountain Gorilla Tracking in the jungle, carrying along your lunch boxes and equipment to use in tracking the unusual Mountain Gorilla; for which there are only 650 remaining all over the world. In the presence of park guides who will interpret the Flora and Fauna of the vegetation and the lifestyle of the Gorillas, you will have quite a thrilling experience. After a picnic lunch, a visit the Batwa People who are the natives of this area and get the opportunity to see their traditional crafts and enjoy their dances. Day Seven
After breakfast you will drive through the Switzerland of Uganda- Kabale which has a very artistic sight presented by the terraced farms on its hills and in the afternoon arrive at Lake Mburo National Park. Being an extension of the Tanzanian Plains, Lake Mburo is habitat to Zebras, Impala and Eland, and boasts of various species of birds like the African Fin Foot; its landscape dotted with papyrus and Bush Shrike. After lunch, have an optional boat trip or unwind in your cool rooms. Have an evening game drive. Day Eight
After your breakfast you will enjoy a game drive before heading to Kampala through Entebbe. On your way you will see the Royal drum makers, stand at the Equator which divides the earth into two hemispheres. Day Nine
At around 9:00 am you will set off from Entebbe dock for a boat ride to Ngamba Island which was specifically set up as a home for orphaned chimps, and later return in the evening. Day Ten
After breakfast you will be driven to Entebbe International for your flight back home.
